We have been to the Pasir Ris Park a couple of times but hadn’t realized that there is a Gallop Stable until I read it on Evan’s Kitchen Ramblings. Because the boy can be quite cranky when it comes to new places, I had to show him the pictures at Evan’s blog to be sure he was keen on visiting the stable.
But what I hadn’t foreseen was that you can’t smell the places when you view them via the Net and I ended up trying to pacify the boy who was throwing tantrums because he found the place smelly!
Anyway the ponies were too busy burying their heads in their bucket during their feeding hour to be offended by his remarks. So thank goodness I only had to deal with one little boy neighing like crazy!

Do you know that close to Gallop Stable is the Pasir Ris Mangrove? Not smelly and there are interesting plants and critters to see, such as mudskippers, monitor lizards, etc.
Fuzzoo: Yup, we saw a monitor lizard there…

Is it really smelly? I was planning to bring the boys there over the weekend…They have pony rides too right?
Eileen: Not that smelly lah…it’s just the boy! No, no pony rides. Only for those who take their course if I’ve not mistaken.

oh but I don’t think it could be worst than the HayAhy Dairies Goat Farm right….but it’s an interesting place to bring the kids….will consider bringing the rays one of these weekends.
Jan: *sigh* I wouldn’t even dare to bring him to the goat’s farm…unless I’m asking for trouble!

hey SS, only saw this post now *chuckles* no la, the place is not smelly!! there was hardly any smell i feel. and this stable is right where the entrance (carpark) is ma, u never see b4? but its not a very spectacular sight la, i wish i can go overseas and look at their horses on vast lands *dreams*
must say again that i love reading yr entries! definitely don’t hv a wicked sense of humor like u do
Evan: The smell isn’t awful for me…but for the boy… *sigh* Don’t know about this stable. We always go by the park first so we actually walked from the park to the stable which was quite a distance.
Speaking of horses overseas, I saw the locals riding their horses in the open field in Tibet where a tribe was camping. We could have rode the horses with them but we didn’t plan for it. Quite a pity…
I got wicked sense of humor? Hee…I think I just like people to go away smiling after reading my entries.

There are pony rides at Gallop Stable. As long as your child is above 2 years old, he/she can take the pony ride.
Peanut: I didn’t realize till I read it in the papers. I guess we have gone at the wrong hour… it was their feeding time.
