BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Me: That Paula is calling you again!
Him: *looking flustered*
Me: What does she want from you at this hour?
Him: I don’t know.
Me: Stupid Paula. Tell her to shut up or I’ll bitch slap her!
Him: What?
Me: She’s obviously a bimbo! Cannot differentiate between day & night.
Him: Huh? *slaps forehead*
This is one of our conversations regarding Paula whom my husband was so enamoured with when he first laid eyes on her. He had to have her so to speak and he did indeed. In fact, I’ll say he spends more time with Paula than with me everyday! And I am jealous! Well, more like I’m pretending to be. Because the Paula in question is actually a pun for his Polar watch and this is really our uniquely domestic private joke.
I know it’s New Year’s eve and this may or may not be funny to the others. But we have laughed over it many a times and I want to remind myself that we can laugh even when the going gets tough.
2008 looks like a nice set of number but unfortunately, it hasn’t been all that auspicious. I’m not sure how 2009 will work out and of course I hope it’ll bring us more laughter. But come what may, even if it doesn’t, I know we’ll still be laughing over our silly private jokes.
Happy New Year everyone! BEEP! BEEP!
So the boy had his wish granted and received what he wanted for Christmas. The present kept him amused the entire day and even now, as I am typing these words. He is what my husband described, a 2nd generation Star Wars fan. While he doesn’t know the story of the trilogy per se, but he knows all the names of the characters as well as the various space carriers or whatever you call them.

Not a surprise since his father is a 1st generation Star Wars fan, who often hallucinates himself as Darth Vader.
I, on my part do not want to partake in their fandom. But I certainly don’t mind my son calling me Princess Leia. Afterall, she is my favorite character in the story and is quite the beautiful.
Over the weekend, I attended my first blogger event. Surprised? Well, it’s all for the sake of beauty really.
I’m passed hiding my identity these days. I figured that if I want to build my organic beauty blog seriously, I can’t remain too anonymous.
I admit I’m still uncomfortable about the idea and really prefer to remain behind the computer screen but there are times I do need to show myself if I want to break interesting stories. So I’ve sort of resigned to the fact that I can no longer be “reclusive”.
One thing that struck me when I attended the blogger event was that most of the bloggers are a lot younger than me. I think few people in my generation blog, and even lesser blog about beauty, cute stuff or celebrities! Geez. And that caused me to be slightly depressed because seriously, for how long can I blog on these topics considering I’m aging day by day? But people who know me understand it’s really something I love to do because these are the things that keep me feeling young!
Well, we’ll see how it goes. Maybe I’ll really stop asking my husband if I look young when I hit 50. Until that happens, there’s no stopping me from hitting the publish button.
Our initial decision of leaving the X’mas tree cold in the store room led me to do these paper crafts with my son. A rarity, considering I don’t like to do crafty projects with him. But I thought the kid shouldn’t be deprived of his X’mas fun.

Anyway, we’ve abandoned the initial decision and the X’mas tree is sitting warmly in the living room now with one present underneath it. The boy said he’s hoping that it’s his X-wing Star Wars Lego Set and not a Thomas & Friend set. I told him that it depends – his wish will only come true if he’ll continue to be a good boy and not a cry baby.
It’s been a month since my last update here. Well, all I can say is that sometimes life gets in the way of blogging though I admit that I’m more prolific when it comes to the topic of beauty.
The domain of this blog is expiring soon and I have toyed with the idea of shutting it down permanently. Afterall, this blog is the least popular of all the blogs I’m maintaining (but ironically, it is a hot favorite with spammers!) However, doing that would only upset my no. 1 blog fan. So my first update here is about him. Here’s to his first run.

And no, he didn’t come in last. Thank goodness!
