Takuya-change

When I watched President-Elect Barack Obama’s victory speech last week, I was reminded of the Japanese drama Change starring my idol Takuya Kimura. Both were so change-inspiring! Totally awesome! And I wondered: who copied who? Their campaigning theme was the same and even the messages sounded somewhat similar. Only thing was that Madonna did not lend her voice to Obama’s campaign.

Okay, okay, call me flakey. But noticed that I filed this under entertainment and not commentaries?

PS: I wonder how many people who watched Takuya’s Change and Obama’s speech thought likewise?

  1. I also made the connection between PM Takuya in Change & Pres Obama’s speech! But how can you compare… Takuya is so much more charismatic. Hehehe ;]

MK: Oh you naughty naughty! But hehe…I agree. PM Takuya is doubly awesome!

  2. Ermmm… if Takuya ran for US Prez and I’m American, I would vote for him instead of Obama!

DM: I’ll find all ways to become an American then!

  3. Yes! I agree 100%!!! I wish that “Change” could be shown on American TV to give the American public an optimistic outlook. Sure it’s just a drama, but still…it left me feeling hopeful! Not to mention the fact that TK is SO easy to look at. Actually President Obama is handsome too. (But he’s no TK!)

M: I’m so glad you agree with me! I love the drama. It was so inspiring. Especially the part about the people’s responsibility in voting. TK is not easy to look at…he’s GORGEOUS to look at! I need a bib! But I like Obama too. He’s got charisma!
