It’s with much relief that the 7th lunar month is officially over. This has been a dreadful month and everyday was an uphill struggle for me. Weekends have never been worst.
So even though I don’t fancy mooncakes that much, I really welcome the 8th lunar month. Strangely, I didn’t see any mooncake fairs at the places I shop until today. Anyway, I ended up getting mooncakes from Bengawan Solo for my mum. Although theirs aren’t fanciful, the standard is fine by me. And it’s not like I have the mood to go around mooncake shopping anyway.
Let’s hope I can survive well and look as good as these mooncakes by the end of the month.

Wow..!! colorful..!! i want some..!
MB: Can you find the snowskin ones in Canada?

the yearly mooncake fair is on at Takashimaya Square. Saw that last Friday.
absolutjoiz: Was surprised that this time the fairs are so late. I remember they began earlier last two years.

Looks delicious indeed! We usually get Bengawan Solo’s mooncakes for ourselves and family members too. I especially liked their ‘snow skin’ mooncakes.
Glad that the 7th Lunar Month is finally over; no more worries in bringing our child out at nights!
WaveSurfer: And we can bring him to the swimming pool again…

Damien is already pestering us to buy lanterns for him
Eileen: The boy hasn’t asked though…he only wants to eat the mooncaks.

I’ll have to find a fun event for us to go to – to celebrate mid autumn festival here.
Irene: I’m sure you’ll find something interesting…
