My little soldier

I was very surprised to learn from one of my colleagues that those diagnosed in the spectrum would not have to undergo National Service. “How can they handle the gun properly?” I verified with his psychologist and it appears to be true although she thinks that there is a high chance to take him off the label in two or three years’ time.

So we’re prepping him up for the task meantime and he’s happily gunning for it too.

  2. So everybody have to go and check with a psychologist before going on national service? So that the government knows who can go and who can’t go?

ZM: No, it’s for those who have been diagnosed with behavior problems. Eg. Autism or other problems in the spectrum. If they haven’t been taken off the label by the time they’re 18, likihood is they can’t do NS or maybe they can’t use weaponry.
