I was quite pleased when my husband passed me my Certificate of Merit from LTA.
Congratulations! You have not committed any non-compoundable traffic offence during the period stated. We hope you will keep up your good driving record.
But, I think I might just have ruined that record. Because last week, I dashed past the red light yet again but this time, I think the act was captured on the camera. Being the klutz on the red light camera that I am, I’m not exactly certain though. I will try to check it out again when I’m on that route tomorrow. Or maybe I will only know when I get that damn letter.
So much for good driving records! Dashing red light will probably get me 12 demerit points on top a hefty fine! What a blemish and a big one at that!

oh no!! i hope the camera didn’t capture anything!

Did you see the flash go twice? My friend who is a traffic cop told me that if the flash went twice, it’s confirmed that the person got captured by the camera. If the flash didn’t go off at all or only went off once, you should be fine. Anyway, did you know that the camera only works about 1-2 seconds after the lights turned red? That is to let the “border-line” cases off (like those that are caught in the junction when the amber light changes to red, etc).
D: No, I’m not very sure. I’m very blur about the traffic light camera. Only recently I figured out how it works!
