Just a second after I turned left, I heard the dreadful scratching sound and I knew I didn’t just mount the curb this time. So much for wanting to make a quick exit.
I didn’t stop to check but continued driving even though I felt really uneasy. And as soon as I reached home, I checked the car and true enough, it was badly scratched on the left bottom. Aiyah! What would the man say?
I sent him an SMS as soon as I stepped into the house, mentally preparing myself to be ticked off. My message read: “I scratched d bottom of d car while turning.” Three minutes later, this is what I received…
I can just picture him typing that message with a smirk!
Wahahah, your hubby’s reply is really darn funny leh.

Recalling I had this dreadful incident too. When I first drove his new car at the muti-storey carpark, trying to turn down the slope but mounted the kurb. What worst was I can neither forward nor reverse after that as the more I do, the longer & deeper the scratch went. My two girls were in the car too asking me what happen? why are we stuck there?
I was panic-struck then, dono what to do and anytime any on coming vehicle, I will cause a jam.
Fortunately I met his fren and he guided me to manouvre out. After that, he still console me that husband & wife wont tick off for that when he sense my worried face(first time I heard his fren say such sensible thing)
But things dont turn out as positive as his fren say…
The moment my hubby saw his car, he face sunk, next moment questioning me how I scratch his car even I had already described to him how. Then blamed me for didnt hand-on practise before driving his car. And reprimand me for the damage I made were beyond repair but to change the whole shell…
I know it was my fault and had prepared to accept his scolding but didnt expect he was so mean…
So I got ticked off and say : “I will bear whatever cost incurred!” which shut him off immediately.
I was so hurt then… didnt even show concern if we were frighten.
wtpg: I guess some men are too concern over cars…I’ve come across many like that too.
