The bigger the better

breastsThere’s a certain obsession with big boobs.  For some women, the bigger the better.  And in some cases, big boobs are more than just great assets.  They can literally extricate one out of a tricky situation.  Like how a well-endowed bikini model in Japan who was cleared of property destruction had credited her breasts with the victory.

Serena Kozakura was convicted in 2007 of kicking a hole in a man’s door and crawling inside, supposedly because she was angry that he was with another woman.  However, in her defence, her counsel asked the court to compare the size of the hole in the door with Kozakura’s 110cm bust – and suggested that she couldn’t possibly have made it through the gap. The presiding judge agreed that Kozakura’s bosom made her alleged crime an impossibility, and quashed her conviction.

OMG! The diva sings for my Takuya!!!

concocted on Sun, 30 Mar 2008 @ 3:45 pm for Entertainment

Madonna is providing the theme song “Miles Away” from her new album Hard Candy for the upcoming Takuya Kimura drama series titled Change that will air on Fuji TV next month. This is reportedly the first time one of her songs will be used as the theme for a television series.

Here is a recorded video message from Madonna to Takuya: “I wanna wish you a lot of success on your new television show and I’m very happy that you are using my new song ‘Miles Away’! Good Luck!”

The diva sings for my Takuya and even wished him luck! OMG OMG OMG!!! I bet she was already impressed by him during her visit to SMAPXSMAP in 2006 because she even kissed him then!

The woman is so brilliant. I’m SO going to buy Hard Candy for sure!

Buried by assessment books

concocted on Fri, 28 Mar 2008 @ 4:10 pm for Parenting

assessment-booksI don’t know about other parents but I always feel very stressed up when I walk into the bookstore these days.  I look at the number of assessment books for pre-schoolers and all I feel is a big overwhelming sense of fear.  There are so many of them and the standards are so high!

Of course I can choose not to get them, but then, I’m also gripped by the fear that he cannot catch up if I don’t get them for him.

So on top of having to attend enrichment courses, he has to work on these!  How interesting is that for a five-year-old?  When I was five, I was still staying at home and playing masak all day longI’ve never attended kindergarten and I’ve never heard of assessments.  I guess I was lucky then.

But for my son, this is only the beginning.  Half of his life will probably be buried by assessment books which will only get more over the years.  And unfortunately for me now, what I never got to do at five, I’m definitely having to do them now!

Kisses & compliments galore for mummy

concocted on Wed, 26 Mar 2008 @ 11:59 pm for Parenting

kiss meThe boy has been very affectionate of late, showering me with plenty of kisses and compliments everyday.  But sometimes, it’s his way of wanting to get things out of me.

It can get pretty overwhelming like how he’ll want to kiss me repeatedly in school just to get me to stay longer with him.  I’m also concerned about him licking up my sunscreen or my makeup!  But other than that, I’m of course happy that my son is so generous with his affections.

He is however, very selective with his compliments and he appears to know the difference between cute and pretty.  Like when I’m dressed up with makeup, he’ll say mummy is pretty but on a daily basis, he’ll only say I’m cute no matter how much I persist.  He can even tell me that I’m not cute when I scold him!

And when asked what cute is, his reply is “cute is everybody likes.”  But when asked if daddy is cute, his answer is always an assertive NO + “daddy is fat.”  Kisses for daddy are also to be begged for.
