Twenty one years is a fairly long time to know someone. There were at least five years we didn’t see each other, not even kept in touch via any mode. But funnily, our friendship only got stronger over time.
A lot of people mistook us for sisters. Well, we have about the same built I guess. But that’s about it. Come to think of it, we’re quite different in many aspects.
She looks fragile, but she’s far more sporting than me. The woman fences even now! Unlike me, she loves shopping and she definitely has better dress sense than me. She’s also good at cooking and craftswork whereas I’m hopeless at those areas. But, she still doesn’t know how to blog, after having spent a couple of hours showing her how to!
I remember being her bridesmaid at her wedding but I also remember the one time we almost blew our friendship because I was angry with her for having gone overboard teasing me. I cannot remember how we got back together now, but I recalled slipping a note under her hostel door to tell her to check the examination schedule because I was worried she would have missed it.
So our friendship has come a pretty long way. From sweet young things to middle age aunties now. And I can literally say that I’ve known her half my life!

Love these kind of friendships

it is nice to have a friend from long ago. i’ve kept in touch with lots of old friends as well. through distance and time, somehow the friendship never changes. it doesn’t happen to all friendships!
