Since five years ago, it has become impossible to celebrate New Year’s day quietly even if we want to. Because five years ago, he chose to arrive on 1 January. In his own little ways, he has brought us closer and strengthen our resolute to stay together as a happy unit at all times.
And although I’ve never really said it, but the boy is really quite a sweetie when he isn’t cranky. Even when I roar at him quite often, he’ll still say he loves mummy because mummy is so cute. *big grin inserted*
But he’s growing up too fast for me to accept sometimes. He’s right now just under my armpit and in no time, he’ll be towering over me. I would have to resort to using a chair if I want to talk down to him. Yet he’s so eager to grow up and he’s already started to ask me if he can go out by himself when he grows.
I can’t say I’m keen about that idea now but I certainly wouldn’t mind him growing up a bit more to fix his own meals, feed and bathe himself. Especially now when auntie isn’t around!
Happy birthday.. to a very handsome and smart boy..!! Hey.. Gavin.. MB hope that Chloe will get to meet you .. when we all come home for a vacation. May you grow up healthy.. and wise.. and a really good kid..
