casserole of my life

He’s gonna get it sooner or later

Doraemon the movieTwo blisters on his bum and it’s confirmed.  He’s got chicken box.  It’s definitely from the school as there’s an outbreak although I only read the notice this morning.

My first reaction was panic.  *GASP*  Oh no, what should I do?  And my first thoughts?  Bring him to the doctor’s!  Get him an injection!  Clip his nails!

I tried calling my mum but couldn’t get to her.  So I sent a message to my best friend who promptly replied with a few notes to soothe my nerves.  See a doc.  Apply lotion.  No dark sauce.  No seafood.  Fish is fine.  Drink plenty of barley water.  Okay, I remember some of these from my own experience of chicken pox 10 years ago.

Meanwhile, he’s oblivious to what’s happening inside him and has no clue what chicken pox is.  The only thing he’s probably happy to learn is that he doesn’t have to go to school for about two weeks.

And me?  I’m just hoping that the two weeks will pass quickly without having to do any mad chicken dance.
