It’s kind of a coincidence that I was showing my boy an old musical jewelry box of mine before I wrote a buzz on handmade jewelry at Viva Woman earlier today.
The site which I covered, Overstock.com, not only has a wide selection of jewelry but some really pretty jewelry boxes as well. And they reminded me of a time when I would go gaga over these things.
I think I own my first jewelry box sometime in my secondary school after saving quite hard for it. Well, I suppose most girls would own one of these at some point of their lives. I collected a few along the way but purely because I like their designs, not because I have plenty of jewelry. Save for a few chains and dainty pieces, there isn’t much to show off. This probably explains why I spent more time polishing my jewelry boxes than cleaning my jewelry pieces.
But still, after going through the online store, I decided that I must get a jewelry armoire for myself now. A girl should have a musical jewelry box and a woman must have a jewelry armoire. Doesn’t matter if I don’t have such rings to stuff in there. Does it?
Because everytime he sees this Ah Pui 黃國倫 (left in pic) on 康熙来了, he tells me it’s my Takuya Kimura!!! And he’ll insist that Takuya has grown fat!

This is totally exasperating! And to think that I was beaming with joy earlier commenting that my son recognises my idol and can articulate his name so well. (>_< )( >_<)
Two of my headaches are cleared and now I have one new one. I am unable to get an air ticket for my maid. The seats are all full and she may not get back to spend X’mas and New Year with her family and if so, it would be my fault!
Work is supposed to begin in two weeks’ time and I don’t even know if I’ll be working.
I feel like I have ants eating me up right from my toes. The feeling is so bad that I have not had my toe nails painted, I feel like deleting all my blogs and I’ve even chased the man out of the house.
I’m definitely feeling horrible.
All I want to do is send PoonPoon for racing and win me more fluff munny.
Why the man said we have to celebrate children’s day yesterday I really don’t know. My guess is he just needed an excuse to dine out.

After eliminating a list of possibilities, we decided on Sushi-Tei at Serangoon Gardens. I was so surprised that the menu has changed so much and they now even offer paper hot pots. Just goes to show how long we haven’t eaten here.
The boy who already had his dinner at home was amusing himself with the sushi conveyor belt while crunching on green beans. I have to say that it’s quite a delight to bring him out to eateries these days because he’ll always find something interesting to keep himself occupied.
So yes, we were able to eat our children’s day meal in peace. Very thankfully so.
