I had durians! Yes, I had these for breakfast round about 8am, after bringing my son to school this morning. Not all of them of course! Just a couple.
Very rare indeed because I’m not hot about durians. I don’t mind the taste once they’re inside my mouth of course but I won’t go all out on a durian quest either.
I’m very passive when it comes to this king of the fruits. So you would never see me buying durians. Not even if they’re the best or they’re dirt cheap. Someone has to place them right in front of me to entice me, and in this case, it was the man. Even then, I can be resistant.
I know some of you are probably huge durian lovers. Thank goodness you can’t smell my blog. And thank goodness for those who hate these with a vengence too.

Durians for breakfast?? Errr …. okkaaaayyy ….
moby: Yah I know it’s odd…I usually have it for supper but was in the durian breakfast mood I guess…

Though Im a durian lover and I actually smelled durian from your blog! haha! But having it for breakfast, sort of weird.
Too shocking for my just awaken stomach.
Not for lunch either, too heavy.
For me, probably best eat it at night.
;p
wtpg: Actually for me anytime also can…though I admit early morning a bit weird.

MMmmmm. I can only get mine cold – or half frozen here. How I miss the “fresh” ones. Yummy! Even better if it’s for breakfast!
Irene: You don’t mind it for breakfast too? Cold is nice…

I’ve never heard of them. Are they sweet or sour? Grow on trees or vines?
Well, I don’t know why I’m asking you. I have Google. I will now go use it.
Oh boy, a research project!
ally bean: They grow on trees and they’re sweet with slight bitterness but most pple who are not exposed to the smell hates it with a vengence.

Durians in the morning. Sounds dangerous. But it takes a confident woman to carry that smell around with them the whole day.
carrie: Haha…I don’t know anything about confidence but well, I didn’t think I smell particularly bad that day…
