Parents who are cracking their heads on what names to give their newborns can pick up some ideas from this:
A Chinese couple tried to name their baby “@,” claiming the character used in e-mail addresses echoed their love for the child, an official trying to whip the national language into line said on Thursday.
“The whole world uses it to write e-mail, and translated into Chinese it means ‘love him’,” the father explained.
It’s not know if the name has been approved by the Chinese government, but if does, then it might spark off a new trend altogether.
Can you imagine naming your child CTRL ALT DEL?

I personally think that’s crazy. I don’t care very much for those weird names at all. If the parents want a strange name, then they can change their own name. Why make a child suffer?
BBM: Yup, I thought the same too. The poor kid would become the butt of jokes…

How can @ translate to “Love Him”?
I think that’s weird too.
Imagine naming children key board symbols. #, * and yeah.. if it was an unwanted child, it’ll be CTRL ALT DEL.
ZM: Yalor…exactly my thoughts. I was like “huh? what love?”
