casserole of my life

Claiming back bits of our lifestyle

concocted on Sat, 18 Aug 2007 @ 11:55 pm for Eats,Family,Parenting

We haven’t had a night out having drinks since I was pregnant.  When I say night, I mean as in nightfall when the sky is fully dark.  Early evenings don’t count.

Gosh.  It’s been five years or more!  Thanks to no smokes allowed in the pubs, we could bring him out with us to Muddy Murphy’s tonight.  But before we did, we brought him to Toys R Us to grab a small toy so that he could amuse himself while we chill out.

We were the only ones at the pub with a small child and it turned out all very well.  No protest.  No whining.  He was actually enjoying himself with his new toy and the potato wedges.

Looks like as he grows up by the day, we can claim back some bits of our lifestyle as well.  And no, we definitely didn’t have to make him drunk.  He only had plain water to drink!

  2. if the bar doesn’t play too loud music, i always think it’s so cool to bring the kids there! way to go girl!! you and your hubs are a fun couple really!

imp: Yesh! No loud music and smoke free is good for kids. I hope to be able to do this more frequently. Felt so deprived from the night scene!

  3. Aw.. he’s such a good boy.. playing with his toys and not rushing you guys. Must send Zara over for training.

ZM: He’s older now so that helps. Zara will become less whiney in time. Current phase is a passing one, which unfortunately most of us need to go through as well…

  5. I always like this idea but not possible for me… lately my girls are getting over board… they nvm can sit still on their own but roaming about, disturbing other patron, yelling at other people… *sign* I really dont wish to loss my compose…

wtpg: Well, maybe it’s a passing stage and they’ll get better in time. But usually when kids bend together, then they tend to be more cheeky and mischievous.
