It’s Friday 13th and yet I’ve had a few pleasant surprises. Goodies, good news and this.
The man made a dinner reservation for the family at our favourite Keyaki Japanese Restaurant at Pan Pacific. Because he was so earnest, I was happy to oblige even though it meant rushing from work to school with Gavin and then rushing home again to wash up and change for the evening out.
This has to be the best Japanese restaurant around by our standard.
A Zen garden setting complete with a Koi pond, great ambience both in and out, good service all round and most important of all, great food! The teppanyaki is a delight and almost a must have for us whenever we get a chance to come here. And I was really glad Gavin enjoyed the food as much as we did.
It’s no wonder. They served lime sherbert ice cream for dessert!

Arrrghhh..!! kill me again..!!

oh we were there just days ago too!
the shabu shabu is very nice, but we didn’t know the portion is so huge, good enough for 2 person to share actually.
so with the rest of the orders flooding in, we ended up occupying the 6-seaters-3-tables seats, even though is just only the man and i, so “pai-say”
couldn’t finish all the foods, but we licked every bit of the rum & raisin ice cream kekeke
Lia: Ah. Two of you and 2 sets of Shabu Shabu? I haven’t tried that. But my hub told me it’s good. I got to see the portion though. Hey, huge lah. Their ice cream is really good right. It’s a good balance to the meal.

Looks good!
Next time must ask you for good Jap restaurant in SG when I go again.
The last we were there, we ate at Sun and Moon in Wheelock plc, don’t think it was nice but a lot of people were dining on a Monday.
My favourite so far in SG is the one @ Crown Prince Hotel (I think now called The Plaze?).
ZM: There are a few good ones around town. Crown Prince Hotel is supposedly good but never tried it. You can try Sima Japanese Restaurant at Goodwood Park or Nanbantei at Far East Plaza. I like the food at both places. But my fave is still Keyaki. The only drawback is its prices are terribly high end though.
