Wah, I can see the crispy pieces of lard by the side of the plate. I like the hokkien mee to be wet and when it’s served on a banana leaf - which gives a fragrance to it. Off my mind, I can recall the most recent tasting at the Food Republic at Wisma Atria is pretty yummy.

I have never tried this before. It looks good. What all is in it? What nationality is this dish?
thebluestbutterfly: I would say this dish is an Asian fare, especially popular in Singapore and Malaysia although the way it’s cooked is slightly different in both countries.

i have eaten a dish quite similar to hokkien mee and it was delicious, i must say. good thing, i already ate my dinner, otherwise, i would be drooling already.

Err.. I cannot appreciate this Singapore Hokkien Mee.. I prefer the Malaysian black black ones!

Okay, at least I have recently eaten my hokkien mee so this did not cause any cerebral damage to me, else I will be thinking of it til I go bonkers!!!! heng ah…
