I’m really thankful that he’s lapping up his vegetables with great passion. He loves the greens and would always polish them clean from his plate!
His favourite is brocolli but he loves capsicum as well and would devour his carrot, celery, chives, corn, spinach, chye sim, spring onion, bean sprouts and garlic sprouts as eagerly. In fact, he eats more vegetables than his mummy dearest!
And to think that not too long ago, he would spit them out with equal enthusiasm.
I suppose this is just one of those things. It’ll come to them eventually. So there was really no need to make a fuss of it in the first place.
Well, if any of your kids have trouble eating veggies now, you might also want to look up this resource on how to get your children eating vegetables at Top Tips For Girls. I thought the one on sprinkling some sugar on the veggies was a cute little idea.

Glad that he’s learnt to love his veggies. I’m gonna send my gf the above link. Her 2 kids simply refuse to take their greens. Hope it’ll help!

my parents used to force greens down my throat when I was a kid and I have never love eating them since recently and you know, greens are the most healthy kind of food one SHOULD and must take.
msff: I hate veggies as a kid too. Only would eat carrot and cabbage cos they are not green.
It’s only after I got married that I eat more cos of my hub’s influence.

Wow, that’s good that he’s eating his veggies. My kids would only eat certain veggies. But then again, I’m also not big on veggies, but I try to incorporate them in our meals.
niceheart: I’m not a big fan either…can you imagine it is only recently that I started with capsicums myself. I never even knew their flavour before…and I think he’ll like the french beans, long beans and lady’s finger if I introduce to him but I’m not cos I don’t like them.

Wow..! that’s really good..! i have to sneak the vegies into chloe’s food. These days.. i give her bean sprouts too.. and she ain’t making a huge fuss. Thank God..!
MB: Yeah, introduce one by one…I started with spinach, carrot and corn, then slowly introduce more. I think they like it when it’s crunchy…

wow! my hats off to you for doing a good job. seldom you see kids nowadays who love to eat veggies. i know my youngest one hardly touches veggies.
Belle: Nah…I didn’t do very much. Just tried to be a bit patient when he started out not liking them. I did not force him when he spitted them out.

Zara doesn’t quite like vege.. only pick a few that she likes (carrots, spinach, cabbage, that’s all).
ZM: I think girls are more picky about their food eh?
