Daddy already forewarned me but I thought we could try to sneak away from it again. But there’s no escaping this time.
The boy needs to have a ticket of his own in order to watch the movie. That was what we were firmly told at the ticketing booth. So we took heed and paid full price for his advance ticket. Despite the fact that he’ll likely be sitting on one of our laps throughout the entire two hours on Saturday.
Daddy said it was good thing we checked, rather than be embarrassed when the three of us try to enter with two tickets only. I was however a little miffed, over the fact that a 4-year-old needs to pay for a full price movie ticket without any concessions. But that’s just the cheapo charlie in me acting up again.
So this marks another milestone in his growing up journey. Watching Shrek on Saturday with his very first movie ticket. He’s really looking forward to it and let’s hope he will cooperate by sitting on his own. Otherwise, there goes our legs, and there goes the ticket too.

Wow..! full price for a child..?? that’s ex..!!
But nevermind .. as long as he enjoys it..
And yes.. he is growing up..
MB: Yalor…I think it’s ex too…

I’m sooo looking forward to watching Shrek 3. It’s about the only cartoon that I do love. But isn’t it a little early to pay a full priced tkt for Gavin. Isn’t there some rule that if he’s below 6 or 7, or a certain height, that he gets in free?
DR: Base on height and he’s tall for his age…so no choice lor…

Did you tell him he’s got his very own ticket now? Did he feel very ‘adult’ on hearing it?
My mom said I felt that way when I got mine.
DT: I took your advice and tried telling him. Not sure whether he really understood but yeah, he did look a bit proud. Hee…

Alamak! Then no choice. No wonder I got in easily for free in the past. I’m so short. Ha.
DR: Hahaha…but last time also not so strict I think…

i watched that same movie with my daughter. it was hilarious ! now, i can relate when my kids talk about Shrek.
just curious, you paid full price for Gavin’s ticket, yet he didn’t get his own seat?
Belle: He did get the seat. I meant to say that he might not want to sit on his own but rather with us. But it turned out okay. He sat for some time on his own…

How did it go? Looks like he sat through the movie?
ZM: He watched the movie a-ok. But he didn’t sit throughout. At some point, he started standing up and then sat with his daddy for some parts as well…
