I was surprised that he decided to change his scope of WORK last evening.
Instead of playing with his usual cars, train sets and what nots, he dugged out this Boggle Jr set which I bought him more than a year ago and started assembling the words by himself. Something he has never shown an interest in before.
Although he wasn’t technically spelling them according to the instructions, but I was glad that he’s keen on just putting the words together. I’m sure he’ll pick up some learnings along the way.
Looks like my little parrot is ready for more SERIOUS WORK!

I guess he is growing up eh..?
MB: Ya, I think so too…

Wow..he’s growing up…this boggle junior set looks fun! Maybe i should get one for Damien, his teacher commented that he can’t recognise words yet…
Eileen: Yeah, try it. I bought it with the intention for him to learn the words. Flash cards are also good. I bought these sets of flash cards with both English and Chinese words on vegetables and transport for him and he loves it. He learned how to read some of the words after a few rounds of playing with them.

i recall the days where he’d frustrate u by not wanting to do ‘revision’ or go to school. you must be really happy now! the boy likes it!! he probably likes to learn stuff through games and the fun way. if so, then you gotta crack your brains to revise his work for him in a creative manner??!
imp: Yes, I am really happy. And you’re right about the creative learning. Just that I’m usually so tired, I have no time to devise them.
So I just make do…

That’s a good sign..
When we whipped out Zara’s workbook to ask her to do some writing.. she’ll roll her eyes.
ZM: She does? I was under the impression that Zara is a keen learner. Maybe she’ll take to it later.
