Until now, I still cannot quite get over what I saw last week. She’s used to be my primary school classmate and was considered a pretty girl then. Even during varsity, she was quite a head turner. But not anymore.
Her dressing is still hip no doubt but she definitely look a lot haggard though I could still recognise her. In fact, I can’t find the exact words to describe her looks right now except that she’s vastly different. Even my husband was surprised to learn that she’s my age.
And to think that I used to dismiss comments from people I meet from my past that I look the same. I never believe them and thought they were just patronising me. But after what I’ve seen last week, I think I’m beginning to appreciate these comments more. I think beyond the eyebags, the fine lines and some spots, I am still very much recognisable to people who have seen me when I was 10.
So more power to my facial care regime for sure. I want to age gracefully. Pleeaassee!

You are definitely looking splendid at your age! That’s why I still stress it’s impt to have some me-time to continue to look ‘normal’ even with a hectic job schedule and kids.
DR: Not so splendid lah. Not fishing for a compliment…though my features have grown older, but at least pple from my past wouldn’t express shock at my current appearance…

for most women, those *lines* appearing on the face are stress-induced. must find some way to work on the root of the problem..
Jes: Yikes! I’m always quite stressed…

you are definitely chic in my opinion and very well-maintained from your other beauty blog! and I always believe grooming does not end when one gets married or have kids. Must maintain!
msff: Yup, must maintain. I wish I can put in more effort on my body though…

I never believed it when people told me I looked young either, but when I run into people I graduated with? OH MY! I know I look younger than a lot of them. It’s a good feeling, isn’t it??
BBM: Yes, it’s always nice to be told so…

Belle: Wa, remind you of your girls? Haha…that’s a nice compliment. But yes, being relax and happy can improve looks as well.
