casserole of my life

Meet The Robinsons

concocted on Sat, 7 Apr 2007 @ 7:30 pm for Family

This is his 2nd movie on the big screen.  And the first he requested to watch after seeing the trailers on the TV.  I don’t fancy animations much but I was most happy to oblige.

Quirky characters.  Funny scenes.  Inspiring story.  The sort of movie you can safely bring the kids to watch.  The sort which make you laugh and cry sometimes.  And the sort that’s also quite forgettable after a while too.  But he was happy.  And it made us smile to see him enjoy the movie.

Next on our watch list:  Takuya’s Love & Honour and Captain Jack’s Pirates of the Carribean 3 At World’s End.   Definitely movies I want to watch.  But can’t bring him along for sure!

  1. As much as I like cute stuff, I don’t fancy animations unless the show is more mature and caters to adults. However, I will still cave in to childhood cartoons like smurfs, my little pony, carebears and my all-time favourite X-Men!!!

DR: I only like those Japanese by Miyazaki!

  2. Coincidentally, my galfen also brought her lil’ gal to watch this yesterday. Verdict from the young sweetie — not very nice! :)

Can’t wait to watch POTC At World’s End too. Mmm, Johnny Depp & Chow Yun Fatt, yummy!! ;)

DT: I think it’s a movie for li’ boys. Girls, unless they like sci-fic, time machines and gadgets, will probably feel bored with it.

And yeah…definitely can’t wait to catch POTC with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom…Chow, unfortunately is getting too fat though…

  4. I haven’t dare bring chloe for a movie.. knowing my brat..! she is still frightened of the dark. .frightened of loud sounds.. :(
We may just have to leave as soon as we enter the movies. So we’ll wait. I would love to do the mother and daughter things with her.. but i know it will come.. ;) i’m so looking forward to it.. :)

MB: First time they’ll freak out. For this movie, he requested and I also have to mentally prepare him about the dark…But he almost wanted to leave when he saw the Pirate trailer.

But it’ll be nice with Chloe growing up and you two can do more girlie things. You’ll love it!

  5. We have not been to the cinema with Damien so far…am still waiting for the right time. Each time i told him it will be dark inside, he’ll immediately said: “Then i don’t want to see already…i scared scared.” Sigh…

Eileen: Hmmm…have to cross the first hurdle and he should like it afterwards. I guess it has to be a movie he really likes first…
