We didn’t plan to eat this but as soon as I saw it, I went MUST EAT! Even though it was just 4pm and I was still burping from lunch.
I remember reading or hearing raves of this place somewhere. Newspaper? Blog? Comments? Friends? Okay, whatever.
Actually when I saw the word BLACK PIG, I was like, errrrh, GROSS!
But still, I braved the challenge and ordered the Black Pig Ramen while he ordered Kyushu Ramen which also uses the black pig stock. In fact, on the menu, it says they take two days to cook the stock. So the soup must be rocking good right?
And I tell you, this potent stuff is OIISHI NEH!!! UBER DELICIOUS! Even better than Ichibantei which I raved about. And a tad better than Ah Pui Ramen at Cuppage which I used to patronised but has since closed shop. 绝世好面! 名不虚传!
The Black Pig Ramen comes with chilli which I had asked him to put aside. But I later found out that the chili powder actually enhances the taste.
*GULP* MUST. GO. BACK.
Black Pig Ramen is served at Tampopo, 177 River Valley Road #B1-50, Liang Court Shopping Centre. Tel: 6338 3186.
