I just came to realise that we seem to spend most of our weekends being slaves to our boy. We’re always looking for places to go. Places that we think will interest him. But apparently, what we think is not always what he thinks.
Take our Saturday for example.
We thought that bringing him down to the pet shop at Jalan Merah Saga in Holland Village might make him happy and it might even be possible for us to hang out at the eateries there afterwards. Boy, we thought WRONG. If there’re no fountains or waterfalls, it’s not fun to him.
So his daddy thought it might be a good idea to head towards Orchard Hotel where the boy can view his fountains in delight and we can settle our lunch in peace. Boy, we thought WRONG again.
He wanted to eat right next to the fountains! Which was not possible.
At first, he didn’t want to step foot into this Okonomiyaki House Iroha 168 at the basement of Orchard Hotel Shopping Arcade. At least not until we managed to trade some exchanges with him regarding the fountains. Luckily, he’s easily intrigued by cooking so having teppanyaki wasn’t such a bad idea. And the food was tasty, so that helped. But he couldn’t keep his mind off the fountains and was sulky most of the time. So we had to quickly gobble up our food and move on.
See the change in his expression upon seeing the fountains? And then of course we had to pry him from the rail afterwards lah.
Parenting. Such fun!!!

Maybe head to Suntec. Food not exactly great but at least he can see his fountains and still eat his meals.
DR: Suntec is one of the places we always head to and we try to avoid going back too frequently. Anyway, we were looking for a change of scene.
