casserole of my life

Of impulsiveness and instant gratification

concocted on Tue, 6 Feb 2007 @ 7:54 pm for Femilicious

I went shopping today with the intention of getting some new apparels for Gavin.  But I just couldn’t resist this.

I was told that they’ve just started today at Tangs so special discounts of between 10 and 20% will be offered to customers who buy their handmade jewelries or have it custom made on the spot. So I sat down and chose some garnets and red corals for a simple necklace plus a pair of earrings.

I even told the lady who was making the jewelries for me that I have two friends who are good at this and yet I am buying from her.

Well, actually I really can’t help it.  Because as most ladies can probably emphatise, shopping is impulsive and instant gratification is what we thrive on.

  1. Hmmmm…. true…true, that’s why I prefer to do my purchases in shops instead of online! Unless there is some special discount or something.

I like the red necklace…..very festive feeling it gives ;-) Plus the matching earrings, make a complete set ;-)

SSF: I shop online for skincare, cosmetics and accessories. I seldom buy clothes unless they’re not available here. I cannot buy clothes without trying.

Haha…didn’t think of the festive feel. I chose the combi cos it just went with the colour of the clothes I was wearing yesterday…

  4. it seems my earlier comment was spammed!

i miss Tangs, one of the places i go to when in transit. but i do not buy jewelry nor precious stones there. i find cheap and good ones in india, pakistan, sri lanka, cambodia.

as to impulsive buying, it’s our pleasure, and we deserve it once in a while, even if only for instant gratification.

sexy mom: Hey sorry. I didn’t pick out the earlier comment. But fortunately I didn’t miss this one.

Yes, you can find a lot of nice and affordable jewelries in those places. In fact, most of what we see at Tangs probably come from there.
