casserole of my life

Karei Naru Ichizoku

concocted on Mon, 8 Jan 2007 @ 8:50 am for Entertainment

Yay!  My splendid Takuya Kimura has a new drama and it’s ”Karei Naru Ichizoku” (A Splendid Family) based on the best-selling novel by Toyoko Yamazaki, which will telecast on TBS in Japan starting Jan 14, 2007.

This is how he looks in his new role as a businessman.  Somehow the haircut and the angle make him looks slightly prosperous.  And don’t know which idiot added the word “pig” here.

Synopsis of the drama Karei Naru Ichizoku:

Kimura plays Teppei, the scion of one of Japan’s biggest family-run conglomerates and an executive for a Kobe-based steel manufacturer in the late ’60s. His father is the owner and president of Hanshin Bank, the most powerful financial institution in the Kansai region. During a New Year’s family get-together, Teppei approaches his father about a loan to build a new blast furnace for his factory, a request that has unexpected results.

Because of the drama, he had to shoot some scenes in Shanghai.  Check out how the evil Hong Kong press wrote about him.

“近 年 聲 勢 大 不 如 前 的 日 本 萬 人 迷 木 村 拓 哉 遠 赴 上 海 拍 攝 日 劇 《 華 麗 一 族 》 , 其 一 直 保 密 的 造 型 終 於 曝 光。”

Nabei.  Hong Kong is supposed to be nearer to Japan right?  Yet, these strawhead reporters are so clueless.  Or their Chinese is very the 烂 lor!  Go and get your facts right or better still, go and learn from Malaysia’s reporters.  100% objective and supportive even though they’re further away from Japan!

“In a land where sexy male idols are a dime a dozen, and countless fresh young faces are unveiled every other day, Takuya Kimura reigns supreme. Considered by many to be “Japan’s Sexiest Man”, the 35-year-old is perhaps currently one of the most enduring and recognisable faces in Japan.”

This is how you MUST report about my Takuya Kimura, you NINCOMPOOPS!!!

来人啊!赐他们白开水八百杯!喝到他们肚子破!

  4. Aiyoh … he looks a bit haggard in the picture. Overworked?

Loong: Probably.  He’s done one project after another.  Movie, concerts, and now drama.  So not too surprising.

  6. Oh Sesame, you crack me up. I’ve not been “addicted” to Japanese dramas yet. Perhaps, I shall venture into it this maternity leave. I like watching Korean dramas though.

But your man here is very hot. :)

Irene: Convert!  Convert!  Watch J-dramas, and watch Takuya Kimura’s!  I recommend Pride, Hero and Good Luck!

  8. very neat site you got. I especially like entries in entertainment because you dont forget to talk about Kimura Takuya.
Had also read the same Takuya report from Malaysia Star…lol to “Nevertheless, the shotgun wedding hardly caused a ripple in Takuya’s popularity,…” lol

beatriz: Thanks!  Oh, I’m a Takuya Kimura zealot so he’s the main reason why I even have an entertainment category.  And I like the way your Star reporter wrote about him recently!
