casserole of my life

364 days to next X’mas

concocted on Mon, 25 Dec 2006 @ 5:14 pm for Family

Thanks to all who sent in their well wishes to Gavin in the previous post.  The boy is now a-okay and his fever has subsided.  You can just imagine how relief I am now.

Except for a slight cough and stuffy nose, he’s in high spirits.  In fact, he was waiting anxiously to open up all his presents since yesterday and yelled in delight when he woke up this morning to find a new bike for him from his dad.

As for our X’mas eve, we had a simple homecook dinner at home.  Eventually, I didn’t have a hand in preparing them but I stuff my face all the same.

But the mood isn’t as chirpy as it should be on this X’mas day.  Because I didn’t appreciate what the other had planned to do.  And the other didn’t appreciate what I had to say.  So.

Anyway, it’ll all come to a pass eventually.  As in every other day.  And every other matter.  Just that we’ve to wait another 364 days to the next X’mas.

Oh well…

  1. Glad Gavin is better. Eu has been running high fever for 5 days, but it’s coming down too. Seem like kids tend to fall sick around their b-day. An early birthday greeting to the boy (in case I don’t get the chance to surf): Happy birthday!

ky: Hey, I hope Eu is much better now.  I didn’t think about it being related to their birthday.  But now that you say it, I recall it was like that last year, but after his birthday.  Thanks for the early birthday greeting!

  3. So relief to hear that your little one is ok now…..it’s always a mummy’s nightmare when the kid is sick.

Wow! You mean your man prepared all these? He is solid man!

SSF: Yeah, so glad he’s fine now.  The food…well, yes he did but of course with some help from the maid.

  5. Wonderful dinner! I’ll be happy if my man could whip up such a feast for me. :) And girl, lighten up! Give the man some credit for the trouble he went through to prepare everything.

DR: Yeah, he already got the credit from the comments.  Heheh.
