Tidbits at Sunset Grill and Pub

concocted on Tue, 5 Dec 2006 @ 11:00 am for Eats

Sunset Grill and Pub

Finally, after the last scouting trip, we made it to Sunset Grill and Pub at Seletar Airbase East Camp for some drinks and tidbits.

We tried the level 2 buffalo wings which was really tasty and not spicy at all.  They have altogether 10 levels by the way, and it’s supposed to get more spicy with each level.   My man also ordered some mini burgers and he said it was good as well.

It was lovely to sit outside in the evening where it was breezy, and we could enjoy the sunset view.  Reminded me so much of our carefree backpacking days when we used to hang out at rustic places like this.  Definitely a place to unwind.

The only drawback about sitting outside though is that there are lots of houseflies.  One even took a dip in my Heineken!  But it was all compensated when the folks at Sunset made an unconditional replacement for us.

So the next time you head down and decide to sit outside, remember to cover up your drinks and food.

  2. Wow, can almost smell the buffalo wings! But i can only 望梅止渴 until my throat gets better.

mel: Seeing is also a form of enjoyment.  Heehee.  But yes, do take care of your throat.  When it’s better you can eat as many wings as you like.

  4. They actually bother to have 10 levels of spiciness for their buffalo wings? That’s very considerate of them.

You drank a Heineken instead of the Kilkeny? :P I love Kilkeny but haven’t touched one for ages.

ZM: But I wonder who can eat level 10.  I hear level 3 is quite spicy.  As for Kilkeny, I like.  But I prefer freshly brewed ones at the Irish pubs.

  5. Have been to the Seletar Airbase camp once after reading your scouting trip but just couldnt locate the sunset grills & pub… will try again nxt time. Though I dont drink but I loved the rustic :)

wtpg: That place really ulu.  Head towards East Camp, then ask people along the way.  That’s what we did.  Go towards the airbase and you are close.  By the way, the address is 140B Piccadilly.

  7. [...] We headed to Sunset Grill and Pub again with a lighter mood today.  As a matter of fact, we were their first customers, being promptly there when they opened at 4pm.  Instead of the tidbits we ate previously, we decided to go for a full meal this time.   [...]
