Hurhurhur. Got new notebook to beckon the new year. Compaq Presario. Free one somemore. Heeheehee.
Okay, this is a free gift. But it’s not from my hubby. This is free gift from Starhub, courtesy of their Maxonline Premium promotion. We were lucky to get it because of some non-deliberate strategic planning.
So never mind if the Internet access is slow. There are many things to fiddle around with now. The only drawback is my man say we must share this notebook. Bleah. I think he should keep the old one and I use this new baby.
I’m also so proud of myself for having figured out how to configure some of my links to appear only on my index page. Woot. And I’ve actually gone to set up a 3rd blog but the address is a secret at the moment (and probably forever).
So if I don’t come around to visit your blogs these few days, you know my excuses. And here’s wishing everyone a great 2007 ahead!

From the incessant rain and the slow Internet access yesterday. And for those who didn’t know how slow the access was, it was about the time it took to boil this kettle of water over the burner.

Thanks to all who sent in their well wishes to Gavin in the previous post. The boy is now a-okay and his fever has subsided. You can just imagine how relief I am now.
Except for a slight cough and stuffy nose, he’s in high spirits. In fact, he was waiting anxiously to open up all his presents since yesterday and yelled in delight when he woke up this morning to find a new bike for him from his dad.
As for our X’mas eve, we had a simple homecook dinner at home. Eventually, I didn’t have a hand in preparing them but I stuff my face all the same.
But the mood isn’t as chirpy as it should be on this X’mas day. Because I didn’t appreciate what the other had planned to do. And the other didn’t appreciate what I had to say. So.
Anyway, it’ll all come to a pass eventually. As in every other day. And every other matter. Just that we’ve to wait another 364 days to the next X’mas.
Oh well…
I think I have the curse of blogging and it’s really better not to say some things too early or at all.
After putting up the last post, Gavin and I had an early visitor who calls itself an evil anti-X’mas virus. It seems quite determine to make this X’mas a lousy one especially for Gavin. I being much older, could fend myself quite well. Unfortunately, the boy was attacked quite badly. His throat and ear and even his stomach. He had to see the doc twice but kept running a high fever until last night and gave me quite a scare this morning by throwing up some ugly brown thingy on my bed. Even though he woke up this morning to say he’s better and asked for milk, he still threw up whatever he drank after that.
But he’s keeping his spirits high and smiles contentedly at the presents his Godma left for him under the X’mas tree yesterday. I haven’t wrapped the present I bought him and should go do it soon to bring up his spirits a notch higher.
Actually the doc said to me that if his fever doesn’t go down by tomorrow morning, we are to bring him to the hospital. Now, that I really don’t want. So now my only X’mas wish for ourselves is that our son gets better as soon as possible. And hopefully by blogging about this, the evil anti-X’mas virus will know better and go away peacefully.

Maybe it’s been raining cats and dogs. Maybe we can’t get away as yet. Maybe I’ve tons of scripts to mark and not even a quarter done.
But I’m happy.
I’ve got a new hairdo. I’ve done some shopping. I’ve got friends to meet. I’ve finally watched Dead Man’s Chest.
And X’mas is just four days away!
Maybe this sounds a little like IQ spirit. But I don’t care. Cos I’ve got a Diane Krall’s X’mas tune that I’m humming inside me.
知足长乐。 能忍是安。
MERRY X’MAS EVERYBODY!
