I have created a category in Viva Woman! call BloggerTips. Under this category, I will post tips and reviews from fellow female bloggers who are willing to share their pointers on beauty, fashion, wellness, or products they would recommend. It can also be anything else that they have tried and tested, and they think might help improve the quality of life for other women by sharing it.
My first contribution is from Ashes of My Spellbound on a product she has tried and tested favourably recently. You can read all about it by visiting Viva Woman!
I hope more of you will provide your tips as well. As long as you are a woman, and have something good or useful to share, you are most welcome to do so. Never mind where you’re from or how old you are. All contributions will be valued equally.
Please let me know in the comments box below and I will contact you via email. Or alternatively, you can drop me an email at mycasserole[at]gmail.com.
Let’s foster a community of online sharing!

Hopped by Vivocity in the afternoon to run an errand and to get onboard Doulos, the world’s largest floating bookstore. They had quite a selection of books but many were biblical in nature. In the end, I just got books for Gavin. And would you believe it? They even had a handful of Chinese books for children.

All that time I was browsing at the bookstore, my poor man sat waiting below. He had a bad case of sudden attack from his contact lenses and had to endure with a blurry vision because the optical shop refused to sell him a new pair. To make him feel better, I gave him a treat at Haagan Dazs.
We sat at the open deck where the air was cool and dug into our ice creams. Next door, the very upbeat No Hay Problema from The Sound of MilanoOfFashion was being played. One of the ships near the harbour even sounded its horn. Yet the combination was all very pleasant to the ears.
Like forbidden fruits which taste sweeter, stolen moments are always more pleasurable.
Let me count the sweet things he has said that I have recorded in my memory and will never forget even after many years.
Sweet things he said:
Sometimes after my haircut: Wow, so kawaii ah?
Days after my IPL treatment: Your skin is so much better!
Weeks after I removed a large spot from my face: Ah…you look younger!
Very sweet things he said:
Pointing to a belt on my waist: Is that your intestine or what?
When I’m ready to step out of the house: What’s that you’re wearing to town?!!
Years ago on my favourite swimwear: I think you look like the Flintstones wearing this.
Super sweet things he said:
After I’m dressed for work: You look like the Singapore flag!
Pressing my tummy and saying: Whoa, what’s this big bulge? Your tummy?!!
And most recently, just last week, as I was stepping out naked after a shower:
You look like the monster from my Warcraft game! *Then runs away*
你 给 我 记 住!

Ta-da. My new blog. My own domain. Viva Woman!
Yesh people. I have so much blogging mojo that I’ve gone to set up a new blog. And the best part is that this is hosted on my current dreamhost account which allows me to set up multiple sites!
The site was already up for two weeks or so but was not ready to go live until now because I kept changing my mind about the look and feel. You’ll noticed that I’ve shelved the initial pink look which I’ve shown during the sneak preview. Too girlie and the more I looked at it, the more I loathed it. And I also kept changing my mind about the stories. So those who have stumbled upon the blog might notice that I’ve even made some edits to some of the articles.
So why another blog?
Well, friends who know me are probably not surprised because they know I like to bum around in the cyberworld. My online presence dates back to 2000 with my Jpop website by the name of Viva Japan.
Thus it’s no wonder my new blog goes by the name Viva Woman! My positioning for this blog is: Asian women, their lifestyle, interests, fashion, beauty, wellness and everything else in between. It would work somewhat like a mini ezine with coverage from products, news, trends, commentaries to personalities and will in time to come be monetized with ads and reviews. Oh yeah, I’m mercenary and now you know.
Hop by if you’re free and if any of you plan to subscribe to my feed, please use the feedburner link provided at the top of Viva Woman! because the others don’t seem to be updating.
And by the way, I’ve closed off comments at that blog because I have no time to manage that at the moment. So if you have something to say or share, you can still write your comments here, or send me an email. In fact, those of you who like to review women’s beauty products or fashion trends may even like to consider contributing to Viva Woman! (with a byline). Let me know k?
So for a start, how about visiting the site and telling me what you think?

Spent a lazy afternoon jacuzzi soaking, because it was too hot to swim.

Spent a morning decorating our tree, getting in the mood for X’mas.

Spent some time at Takashimaya, but mostly at his favourite sections.
