The boy has been really greedy of late, asking for all sorts of snacks and wanting to eat more junk food. However, he’s still taking a hell lot of time to complete his normal meals, usually averaging two hours.
Of course I’m happy that he’s eating as I’ll like him to fatten him up a bit more. The trouble is that as a result of his increased appetite, I am growing fatter too!
Like last night. His dad tried to put him to bed as I was busy rushing to complete some work. By the time I finished, it was close to 11pm and he was still up, waiting for me. The first thing he said was he wanted noodles! I flatly refused him because we just had noodles for supper on Tuesday when I came back after work. Good thing that my night assignments have finally completed. Otherwise my waistline will be growing indefinitely, along with his growing appetite.
And oh yesh, that’s him drinking black tea. Already.

Already, my waistline expands during wkends when the man is ard most of the the time. Can’t imagine with a kid ard and has a good appetite.
Doesn’t Gavin find black kopi bitter?
DR: But at least on weekdays, you can get Bubble to share your food instead of the other way round now. Btw, that’s tea Gavin’s drinking. Not bitter definitely and he loves it!

I noticed Gavin loves noodles very much cz’ think you blogged about him staying up late to wait for you and asking for noodles before, right?
Think they are growing now, that’s why so hungry for food…Nutty also, been eating lots
SSF: Yup, he loves it. It started when I worked in the evening and cooked noodles for myself. He wanted to share and since then, he’ll ask for noodles whenever I work late. But like you, I think it’s good our kids are eating even though it doesn’t do well for our waistline. (at least you have good excuse now.)

btw, were you at ikea (@alexandra) today? i saw someone looking like gavin at the bookstore..
Angelia: Ya! I saw your hubby when we were on the way to the carpark. I looked around but didn’t see you nor Aidan. Or else I’ll sure go up and say hello. Erm, me a bit blur…but where’s the bookstore at Ikea? As for Gavin, no, he doesn’t drink coffee. Cos we’re not coffee drinkers ourselves.

I need to have my eyes checked. My stupid brain must have associated black with coffee! No wonder I was thinking why is Gavin drinking coffee when Mommy is a tea lover.
DR: It’s okay. Sometimes I also cannot read in between the lines and make worst inferences…and it happened at your blog…hahaha.

You think all moms with kids this age have the same problem?
For me.. she wants something but can’t finish, and b’cos I don’t want to waste it, I finish it for her.. How not to be fat?
Yours is more of accompanying him on his eating binge?
ZM: Looks like it. Either we accompany them on their binge or don’t want to waste the food.
