I suddenly hate myself for being a female.
If I’m not a female, I don’t have to bother about forcing myself to make a blardy wasted trip to town to replenish my compact powder only to return home empty handed.
If I’m not a female, I don’t have to get irritated with media messages that say there aren’t ugly women in the world, only lazy women.
If I’m not a female, I don’t have to be seen as the weaker gender on the road and be terrorised by some stupid road bullying men.
If I’m not a female, I don’t have to bother about ensuring everything in the household is running smoothly while I’m at work.
If I’m not a female, I don’t have to look at the flabs accumulated around my tummy and feel extremely insecure.
If I’m not a female, I don’t have to feel so edgy for so many days because of this stupid symptom call PMS.
Finally, if I’m not a female, I won’t be feeling any of these stupid annoyances and be writing this piece of stupid rant on a Monday afternoon.
I hate being a female. Only today.

Hi, these days do happen.. Hope you’re feeling better:)
Keep up the good work at Viva Woman! It’s a great site!
Jes: Hi! Thanks for your comments. Glad you like my other site.

and because you’re female, you have the supreme right to feel this way about once month. ;P
imp: Ya, I guess…but still, hate that feeling!

Huh? I never feel that, not even a day! In fact I am so proud of woman!
I never want to be a stupidroadbully man,
or some thoughtheisverymanly and all women will die for him but actually is a bigblockhead, or some thoughtheisvalentino and all women will fall for him but actually is a disgustingbuya, or some flabbyoldman but still thinking he’s a hunk….
Oops… I am not sterotyping… unless I am able to recarnate to some good kind sensitive gentleman… hee
wtpg: Heheh. Even though I hated being a female yesterday, but I never thought of being a man though. And for good kind sensitive gentlemen, I know who! “Min Da Ren” of “Da Chang Jing”! Now I also like him leh. Hahaha…

I don’t like to be a female when I’m mothering Zara, and hubby is just having a good time doing his own stuff.
Only the female would not have the heart to take that deserved time off.. while the male doesn’t have such guilt.
Anyway, hope you are feeling better already.
ZM: Thanks. Ya, we all know the truth behind behind a female plus a mother…

I hear you. Especially that PMS part and making sure everything is the household is running smoothly.
niceheart: Haha…because we’re the same kind of female that’s why!

Sorry to laugh at your misery, but HAHAHAHAHA. There are days, though, that I feel like this too. Especially about the flab around the tummy. Why is it old balding flabby men can still get the ladies, while a woman over thirty is “past her prime”? Sheesh.
But I totally abuse the woman driver thing. Maybe it’s because I drive bad, but I dare irate male drivers to beat me up by giving them the “dumb blond/woman driver” blank look.
Hsin: I particularly hate it when I hear those media touting that women can all look good if they are not lazy. So men can afford to be lazy, but not women? But the problem they don’t acknowledge is these days, women, especially mothers are very busy and it’s not a case of being lazy!

If I wasn’t female, I could pee standing and wouldn’t have to clean up the pee stains of those barbarians who do not aim properly.
Men!
Carrie: Haha… That’s right! And reminds me, for being a female, I have to teach my boy to do a better job at that.

To add to the list, women have to bear with the pregnancy hormones….bloated tummy, sore breasts and the much dreaded nausea….sob…sob. Poor women !
SSF: Yup. And even the aftermath of birth!
