casserole of my life

Haircut for a BOY

concocted on Mon, 6 Nov 2006 @ 7:19 am for Parenting

Brought him for a haircut over the weekend.  The Kitz Kid’s at Parkway Parade has been replaced with this new Junior League.

Bigger and more fanciful with LCD screens right in front of each cutting station.  Same price though at $16 for a haircut.

The cut was slow but slightly better than what he got at Supercuts.  Luckily, he was mostly distracted by the cartoon that was being played on the screen and managed to survive the haircut intact.

Overall, I wouldn’t complain about their service.  Well, except for that part when the lady asked me if Gavin was a boy or girl.

  2. Har!!! Wah kao! The lady ‘chey meh’ ah?

Ashes: Maybe cos his hair was longer before the cut and she wasn’t sure…but then, I thought it was so obvious since he was in boy’s attire and he doesn’t look that girlie right…

  6. muahahah. gavin’s so obviously a boy!! i thought might be adventurous and cut your boy’s hair on your own!

impOnly adventurous enough to do the fringe and side…I can never do his back.  Actually his dad snipped his hair before this and it was heheh…quite a sight.

  7. I think it was Junior League that I brought my kids to at Suntec some time back and I didn’t think the haircut was good or worth the money. But I suppose it depends on the hairdresser you get. I think the kids’ salon you are referring to which used to be at Parkway Parade is now located at Katong Mall. I’ve not tried it though.

fuzzoo: The one Gavin got was slow, but alright.  I saw another one that was quite good.  But I like Kitz Kid cos they could cut the kid’s hair in less than 5 mins!

  8. I know how to cut my girls’ hair so I’ve only brought them to the hairdresser’s once in their life. But boys? I dunno er…

LJ: Exactly…boys’ hair difficult to cut especially the back with the slope.  Will end up looking like a girl’s cut if attempt on our own!
