My Takuya Kimura is still the BESTEST!!! He has been chosen as Japan’s favorite guy for the 13th consecutive year by readers of women’s magazine an.an. Way ahead of No.2 choice, singer Fukuyama Masaharu (37).
So to that by-now-rabie-infected-deranged swine who dare said that my TK is passed his prime, go and soak yourself in a tubful of leeches NOW!
By the way, know who this international celebrity known as Burapi is?
The common Japanese practice of forming abbreviations by concatenating the first two morae of two words is sometimes applied to names. For example, Takuya Kimura, a famous Japanese actor and singer, becomes Kimutaku. This is sometimes applied even to non-Japanese celebrities: Brad Pitt, whose full name in Japanese is Buraddo Pitto, is commonly known as Burapi.
This is so cool. B U R A P I. The mongrel on the street has a name now.

BURAPI.. haha.. sounds like Brad Pitt too..
Walau eh..Takuya Kimura still looks good, no wonder can still be so popular.
ZM: Heheh…he’ll continue to look good into his old age…

My friend told me about this yesterday so it’s no surprise for me to find it in your blog
She also told me that sometimes she thinks that Kimutaku is only part human, the other part… a god perhaps??
trieze: Ah, half God? Haha…nice thought which has never occured to me. I only think he’s super!

So, know what he uses to maintain that flawless skin?
DR: Not sure. I read something that he has to apply something before he appears on TV but have forgotten what it is. Well, I’m certain he’s not short on any skincare stuff…

Funny thing, this Japanese habit of using the first couple of syllables of two different words and combining them as a short form. For example, “pasacon” is pasanaru conpyuta (personal computer) or “purikura” (those things where you stand in a booth with your friends and make cute faces and have them printed out on teeny stickers) is purinto kurabu (print club). Curious. The Japanese are curious.
In case you wonder why I never comment about your idol, it’s because I have no idea who he is. Yes, after living 3 years in Tokyo, I haven’t heard of him.
And I do think Brad Pitt is cuter.
*ducking behind the chair*
Hsin: *SNORTS* That’s because you haven’t seen him yet! Ah, and 3 years there and you never watched a single smapxsmap which is on weekly? What a shame…
