On an oppressively hot Thursday afternoon, I sent a SMS text message to my man suggesting that we go for a bite when we meet later. He replied promptly and eagerly with an “Okie okie!”
But when we arrived at our favourite place, he only ordered one plate of fried hokkien mee. Needless to say, it must be his bzzz bzzz bzzz acting up again. I was sorely disappointed because sharing wasn’t on my mind. I had wanted to polish off a full plate by myself!
ME: One plate for two of us? Not enough lah…

HE: You can have it all.
ME: Is it? Later don’t eat my share k!

HE: I won’t. Later I’m going to exercise. I don’t want to throw up.
ME: Ah? Then why you sounded so excited when I suggested we come out to grab a bite?

HE: Aiyah…even though I don’t eat, I still like to accompany you. After all, this can also be considered our private time right? When we’re at home, it’s always you at the PC and I at mine. Where do we have time like this exclusively with one another?
I tucked into my fried mee, secretly smiling and feeling most happy. The noodle seemed extra tasty and the afternoon didn’t feel so hot suddenly.

Awww..!! so sweet..!! i got goosebumps already lor.. hehhehe!!

Aiyo.. your man is so sweet…..
I must remind myself that occasionally, I should sneak out with hubby for a meal or so w/out Zara.. but than, he’s not such a romantic person, he would be reading the newspaper while I eat. *sigh*

The hokkien mee must have tasted extra yummy, extra ‘liao’ (love!) today! That really makes me hungry… even though I had my lunch already. Terrible!!!

Eileen: A coin also got two sides. Never show the OTHER side only…

DR: Am I going to see something about Hokkien mee in your blog soon?
