It’s close to 3am in the morning and instead of sleeping, I’m up surfing the web for info on Johnny Depp aka Captain Jack Sparrow of Pirates Of The Caribbean.
OMG! HE’S SO SEXY CAN? WHY DIDN’T I NOTICE HIM EARLIER? TO THINK THAT I WASTED SO MANY LOST OPPORTUNITIES OF EYE CANDY…*sob sob*
Well, the simple reason is: I’ve never watched Pirates Of The Caribbean until last evening. Somehow I just missed the first show altogether. But when I saw the trailers for the upcoming Dead Man’s Chest, I knew I MUST watch this movie. My eyes literally lit at the sight of Captain Jack. THAT PIRATE ROCKS!
I’m quite embarrassed to say that the only Captain Jack I know until recently is Takuya Kimura’s spoof of the character on SMAPXSMAP. Now that I’ve watched the real Captain Jack in action, I have to say that Takuya did a smashing job of impersonation. In fact, I think his mimic added weight to my new interest in Captain Jack. Captain Jack, Takuya. Takuya, Captain Jack.
And man! I didn’t even know I have the DVD of The Curse Of The Black Pearl at home all this time. What a moron!
Actually, I also like Orlando Bloom cos he’s such a cute dude. But it’ really Johnny Depp who takes the cake in the show. He’s so over-the-top as the funny and endearing Captain Jack with the whole get-up, the slur, the gestures and the head wiggle. I’m completely mesmerised!
No Superman for me. Superheros are too sci-fic and nerdy for me. Gimme pirates! Gimme Captain Jack!

aye aye to Captain Jack… Love him since his 21st Jumpstreet. He’s so cool! I’m kindda worried that Pirates of Carribean 2 might be over-hyped and I’ll be so sad if I get disappointed.. boohoo~

I’m not a fan of Johnn Depp. But I do like Superman, but somehow, I still like Christopher Reeves. He’s the real superhero, all right.

I didnt quite enjoy Pirates of Carribean but I like Johnny Depp in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and also Chocolat. And give me Orlando Bloom anytime!

ally: I’m completely swooned…I remember him from Edward’s Scissorhand and Chocolat but it’s Captain Jack that makes him outstanding.

DR: Orlando Bloom is definitely good looking especially as Legolas in LOTR…but Johnny Depp’s special with that extra X-factor. That man has got character. His Captain Jack character definitely makes him very desirable to me: so quirky and cute!

Superman! Yah, still the hero in my heart, though the male called him name, the steel man and the latter episodes can be quite bored but… most probably the first superman left a very strong impression in my girly heart… I was young then. So I only like the original superman, Christopher Reeves.

I’m another Superman fan. My kids can’t quite understand my fascination with the Man of Steel. But hey, I grew up with the Superman movies.

I too was in love with Johnny Depp back during his 21 Jump Street days. But then he got wierder and wierder. He’s come a long way as an actor, but I suppose I’m no longer into drop dead gorgeous guys anymore either. Orlando Bloom doesn’t do it for me either. His role as Legolas in LoTR was a little too gay for me.
Superheroes for me, though I wouldn’t necessarily choose Superman…

Btw, I don’t know if you’ll like the Pirates movie. It’s quite good, full of action, blah blah but of course I like it cos Captain Jack is cute lah…I’m definitely going to watch the 2nd one coming up soon.

Hi! I sooo LOVE LOVE LOVE Kimura Takuya and I love Johnny Depp in Nick of Time. Haven’t seen Pirates of the Carribean but have watched the parody on YouTube many many times. Alas, it’s taken down now.
