I am vain but I am pathetic when it comes to makeup.
I don’t know how to apply eyeliner without smudging the eyes and I cannot put on blusher without looking like a painted doll. I don’t even know how to blend eye shadows properly without hideous effects. The only thing I had no problem with was applying mascara until it caused problems for my eyes recently.
This explains why I take on the minimalist look all the time. Just compact face powder and lipstick. And even then, I find that I’m quite hopeless because my face powder tend to cake after a while. So when I discovered recently that water spray can help to hydrate my makeup and keep it from caking and fading, I told myself I gotta get this fantastic water.
I was happy to learn that Suisse Programme, a skincare range which I’ve been using, carries this Bio Cellular Oxy Water. So today I set off to buy it! TA DA! I am so looking forward to a day of refresing and lasting makeup tomorrow!
Anyway this is such a timing purchase because I’ve picked this week as SKINCARE WEEK to commemorate the fact that I’m a year wiser. Tomorrow, I’m going for a facial to pamper myself and Friday, I’ll be off to my IPL treatment again to rejuvenate my skin.
Haha…I’m determined to grow old with a VAIN attitude!

Haha… I see we are similar here. My clumsy hands can’t handle eyeliner and I’m not too good with eyeshadows. I’m mostly in mascara (read spidery long lashes!), light pink blusher and yes, I invest alot in my foundation! Let me know if this Bio Cellular Oxy Water is any good. I’m still addicted to my Shu Uemura Depsea Water which has done wonders for my skin but still…. no harm searching for something better. I’m so greedy.

ally: IPL is Intense Pulse Light Treatment.
MB: Hehe, a treat…
ZM: I was like you for a while. Usually we can’t be bothered when we’re busy. But taking care of ourselves will make us feel good, which is important.

Shy, shy, but I have not gone for a facial since my wedding!!! I always thought I’d be au naturel and let things be when I grow old. Now I can really see the folly of it all. IPL, MDB, aiyoh, so scary. Can live with simple SKII or not?

*envious* I haven’t been for a facial in ages. I only get round to it when I go home, when there’s someone to take Sara off my hands.
I’m also useless at make-up. I only use foundation, concealer, eyebrow pencil and gloss. Lately I’ve added eyeliner to that list. I can’t seem to get shadow or blusher on without looking like my Chinese dancing days…

My last facial was like more than 6 years ago..hee…and i don’t apply make up at all..unless i attend weddings, even then, i would only put on the minumum - lipstick, blusher and eye shadow..i’ve never tried eye-liner or mascara (except on my wedding day)!

MS: Sure you can. To each her own!
Hsin: You sound better than me already. I somehow cannot put on eyeliner without looking like a ghost or something…
Eileen: You don’t put on powder even on a daily basis to work? Wow…I cannot leh. I feel very naked…
