casserole of my life

Lousy stinking weekend

concocted on Mon, 1 May 2006 @ 9:55 am for Family, Rants

This is a long, but lousy weekend for the family.  Somehow everything went downhill after his haircut, and the boy has been throwing tantrums almost continuously these few days.

It didn’t help that we went to visit the zoo on Saturday, at the suggestion of his dad, even though I knew in my heart that it would be disastrous.  I’ll spare you the details except to say the zoo is not fun for my boy because he just cannot appreciate the smelly animals.  The only redeeming things for him were the tram rides and the waterfalls.  And we almost had a scare at the children’s playground when he was trying to make a landing from a higher ground.

As for yesterday, I was deprived a morning of fun with my boy because his daddy made what I deemed an insensitive remark.  They left the house on their own to don’t-know-where while I was fuming at home.  I have a full rant of it in my previous post.  But I do not wish to share that because ANGRY THOUGHTS MAKE INCOHERENT READING.  Please do not give me sympathetic comments here.  It’s the last thing I want to hear.  I’m sharing this only because I like to get real to admit that my family isn’t of a fairy tale setting.  We don’t have wonderful times everyday and these unpleasant things happen once in a while.  We’ll get over the drama of it all in our own ways.

Today, the man is out playing golf.  Well, I wish he will have a lousy game today like I had a lousy day yesterday.  *SNORT*

  1. it must have been going around this weekend. I too had an awful no good rotten weekend and briefly considered scooping my man’s eyeballs out with a melon baller or some other equally disgusting and harsh punishment for his misdeeds. I hope you week gets better

  3. Oh yes, I also want to kick my man to outer space and let him stay there for a while, whenever I find him inconsiderate, irritating, rude, wasting time over phone calls or internet instead spending that time with the family, etc., etc.

My long weekend was lousy too…i was sick on Saturday (flu, fever, cough) and slept the whole day, and half of sunday..hope to have some family time today..but hubby had to return to the office to run some stupid reports! 5. No wonder the saying goes ” Men are from Mars and women are from Venus”…how true!

By the way, I like your outfront rant here, makes life more real ,isn’t it? ;-)

For my case, when I need to get back at my irritating hubby sometimes…I simply do the ignoring stunt ….it irritates the S*** out of him and I love it!

  6. I had a great weekend only to have everything go downhill since last night after a massage session when a sudden bout of diarrhea hit me. My butt has been glued to the toilet bowl since last night. :(
