casserole of my life

Time goes by…so quickly

concocted on Thu, 13 Apr 2006 @ 12:05 pm for Musings

My break is coming to an end soon.  In another two weeks or so, I’ll be back to working 21 hours per week, Mondays to Thursdays.

I had presumed I would have oodles of hours during this break.  Except for the occasional workshops, I have had plenty of time.  Or so it seems.  Yet, I’m feeling now that everyday just passes by so quickly and I haven’t had enough. But still, I’m happy to have achieved more than half of what I’ve set out to do in one of my previous entries.

  • laser treatment
  • watch VCD
  • watch TV
  • read some good books
  • meet friends for tea
  • go for good movies with hubby
  • chill out at the pool
  • resume yoga lessons
  • visit the new National Library
  • shopping
  • try nail art
  • maybe sign up for some voice workshop

My biggest reap must surely be finding the time to explore digital art which wasn’t on my initial to do list.  I’m also happy to have read some good books especially gems like Haruki Murakami’s.   I wish, however, to find more time to watch The Swinging Girl on Channel 54 and Jewel in the Palace on Channel U.  Something I haven’t been able to do because of the odd timings.

Anyway, with two weeks left, my priorities are to visit the new National Library and catch a movie.  The others may have to wait…until my next break.  Or maybe not.

  6. I have seen some pretty cool nail art. But to get it done at the beauty parlour costs a bomb!

  7. Visit Sally for your nail art. She will give you a good price.

As for Jewel In The Palace, forget about watching it on TV. I will pass the dvd set in mid May if you are ok with meeting me, the other vainpot. Hahaha…

  8. Hey DR, I had exactly Sally in mind since I got the contact from you. But I kept putting it off. So not sure if I will go eventually.

Really, you’ll pass me the DVD set? For that, I’ll meet you for sure. Hahahaha….

Loong: I think so too but DR passed me a contact and the price is very good.

Hey Ashes, thanks for the pat. Aiya, anywhere is good except on my head.

Zara’s Mama: Cos the nature of my work…but I don’t get paid during this break unlike paid maternity leave.

Erika: Let’s see how it goes. If I do…I’ll post pix. Btw, this is to have someone do it for me and not me learning to do so (I seem to get the impression that’s what you’re thinking).
