It’s been four years since I’ve bought myself a new bra. Not counting the maternity bras bought during pregnant days.
Neh. I’ve not been wearing the same old bras for the past four years. In fact I’m wearing new bras. Yes, more than a dozen brand new bras bought four years ago in Bangkok, but at a cup size too small. I wasn’t able to wear them pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy, nor post-pregnancy. However, I am able to wear them since I’ve weaned Gavin off just after three months of breastfeeding.
Why? My baby zapped away half the fats from my breasts that’s why!
I used to very amply endowed despite being petite. Cup C, no need for maximiser. I remember a gynae once looked at my boobs and asked me if they’re real. I even had to go for a mammogram because of their size. And there were certain tops or dresses I couldn’t wear because they make me looked too top heavy.
But now, all these problems are gone. In fact, I cannot wear my old bras now because they’re a cup too big. Despite what I’ve read in books and all, my breasts never got back to pre-pregnancy size. Neh. They’ve been shrunk to half the previous size. Ask my husband. He can attest to that.
One of my friends who used to be very buxomy also told me the same thing. She has four kids, and she breastfed all of them at a longer period than I did. Well, when I last saw her, she looked all right to me, though I’m not certain if that was a heavily padded bra she wore.
Having said that, I’m not resentful about my smaller breasts now. Really. At the least, I can now wear tank tops without looking too fat. I don’t know about my husband though, but if he minds, he never showed.
Oh, and why did I buy bras that were one cup too small for me four years ago? Because the department stores in Bangkok did not have my size but die die, I wanted to buy the bras which were going for a steal. Cheapo charlie right? Hehe. I know. But they come in handy now. ![]()

Hehe..i was a cup A; then during my pregnancy, i ‘promoted’ to cup C!!! Yeah!
After weaning Damien, i’m demoted to cup A again..anyway i’m happy, my hubby is happy (or so he claimed lah)..so..it doesn’t matter lah..

Gulps. You are freaking me out. Already I’m a cup A. (blush) Don’t tell me my boobies will shrink to cup AAA???? Are there even bras for AAA or perhaps no need to wear bras but singlets? Yikes!

From a C cup, now you are a B? Hee hee, you are daring to post such a post.. If one of my humsup readers roamed here, you’ll be teased.
(but they are nice people, just pretending to be humsup).
As for me, my size increased from a B to a D (doesn’t look D to me, because my waist is think and tummy is still big), all my previous blouses cannot be warn because the chest area is too tight. But I think when I stop breast feeding, my size would probably shrunk, not sure if it’ll go to A though.. We shall see.

Btw, I like the little bag, you store your bras there? So cute!

Now that is something you do not hear everyday. I read the breasts post-pregnancy go back to the same size … but not smaller than they originally were. Is that biologically possible?

I was so pleased with my enhanced assets when I was breastfeeding until one day after breastfeeding for about 6 months, the glorious twin peaks just suddenly shrank back to their original pathetic size and worse, became saggy. Sad

You know, I think I did shrink, except I started out not even really filling a cup A, so it’s kinda difficult to know how much I shrunk post-breastfeeding. I went up to a B while breastfeeding. Post-breastfeeding, I was practically runway flat again. That’s probably the only good thing about being pregnant - having a chest. Only problem is the tummy too - doesn’t cut a sexy figure to have a chest AND a tummy.

Wow, really first time I read that the boobs size can shrink by breast feeding… unbelievable.

Oh my. Could it be true. I’d love to shrink some! Went from B to D and I’d love to shrink. Bought some awesome bras in the summer of 2003, then I was pregnant, so didn’t wear them. I’m still eyeing them.
So pls. pray that I’ll shrink back to B!

I wasn’t really big to begin with, and I breastfed all 3 kids. So you can imagine the damage done. Like what DR mentioned, might go to AAA, well, more like -AAA… haha.
On top of that, my feet grew half a size after each pregnancy. The waist line too. So from a okay-shaped figure to a weird bottom heavy and big feet mother … and now, one more to come… I dare not think of the afterall.

I can’t believe this. I’ve been lots of typos without realizing… yeah, it’s really the pregnancy brain. I meant to say “I dare not think of the aftermath…”

Eileen: Haha…at least you were demoted back to your previous cup size so no reason why your hubs should complain.
DR: Not lah…it differs with individual. For all you know, next time your boobs might just be more enhanced after breastfeeding. I think weight gain has some impact.
Zara’s Mama: This is not X rated! Hahaha…surely the humsup fellows are not so desperate? Btw, I use the little bag to hold my bras and undies when I travel. I bought a few of these pretty things in Vietnam some years back. Love them too!
Loong: Yes, that’s what I’ve read too. Pre-pregnancy size. But somehow it didn’t worked like that for me. Half the fats on the top of my boobs are gone. And I was just back to pre-pregnancy weight, I didn’t even lose weight drastically.
Mama Bok: Oh, tell me about the pain. That was why I couldn’t continue after 3 months. Plus emotionally, I wasn’t prepared. For the adobe, we got the Adobe Creative Suite using one of my instructor pass and paid S$500+ for it. It comes with Illustrator CS, Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge. I was told the original price is S$2000+.
Fuzzoo: Despite what they say right? Mine also a bit saggy. I remember my mom warning me to balance the feed well between both boobs or else, one could become smaller than the other.
Hsin: Your point about having a chest whilst pregnant is funny! Hahaha…to me I think they’re just swollen…Anyway, maybe after your delivery and your breastfeeding this round, you can monitor closely the size and tell us.
Jacky: Hehe…are you a guy or gal? I can’t tell from the name. The boobs will shrink only because they’ve been temporarily enhanced. The crux is…by how much?
Irene: You another funny lady! Most pple would die to have enhanced boobs! But then again, maybe you’re like me. Too big makes us look heavy. Well, hope your wish comes true soon and you can don your awesome bras…
Diva: You too? So I am not alone here.
Ashes: Thanks! I like the stars too!
Angelia: Well, at least it’s back to pre-prenancy size and not smaller.
Jan: 2 cups down? Whoa, that’s bad. Maybe you lost too much weight?
Ange: You’re scaring off those planning on having more kids. Haha…

[...] Ask me. I know through first-hand experience because I had my first mammography done at the age of 35. The gynae whom I consulted at that time for a Pap smear said she felt a slight lump after groping at my boobs and immediately instructed me to do a mammography. At that time, I was still a buxomy C-cup, before Gavin zapped away half the fats from my breasts. [...]
