I LOVE BEANCURD! Especially if it’s soft and silky like these eaten at the Rochor Original Beancurd stall on Short Street in Selegie.
When I was pregnant with Gavin, I ate beancurd very often and drank the soya milk almost every other day. I wanted my baby to be born with soft white tofu skin and it worked for me!
Then again, his fair skin is probably due to genetics as I know a few people who tried eating beancurd but their babies still have dark skin tone. One was a Malay woman who ate this daily but in vain.
Well, pregnant or not, beancurd must surely be one of life’s simple pleasures. Simple food with much goodness for a small price! I wouldn’t mind eating this everyday for the rest of my life.

What a coincidence leh, just bought beancurd from cineplex intending to bring it home for after dinner dessert.

You know, I try to steer clear of food blogs because it’s sheer agony to read and see those nicely photographed food but do not get to eat!

Amen to that! I’m absolutely addicted to tofu. I even eat silken tofu right out of the plastic boxes!

I love beancurd too. I used to eat the Rochor beancurd very often, the one at Geylang which I used to pass by everyday on my way home but I think it’s not there any more.

I love beancurd too, I like it mix with soya bean milk.. half cold half hot..
I took lots of it when I was pregnant with Zara, alas, the genes are stronger than what I can do. She was born quite tanned, just like hubby’s side.
