So very happy! I managed to complete my first 100% self-created digital art header. Yippee! This means from now on, all my headers will be works I can proudly call my own.
Please, allow me to gloat for this moment. I know the art is a bit childish, and it’s not exactly original but heck, I’m still happy. After all it is my own work which I hand drew on Adobe Illustrator CS using the mouse.

It’s definitely not easy. I took about three hours to complete this even though it look so simple. The problem with advanced software like the Adobe suite is that they have a whole lot of creative arsenal but to figure out which to use and how to use requires more than just a bit of brain juice. It requires patience and persistence too. I know I didn’t use the most productive way to create the art, but I suppose with more practice, I can improve and hopefully be able to come up with better works. I am even thinking of digital water colour paintings if I can manage it.
Even though I have wanted to dabble with digital art for years, I’ve never actually made the effort to try it out. And what make me do it now? One was of course acquiring the Adobe creative suite. The other, perhaps the more important reason, was seeing how other blogging mummies have done it and being inspired to want to do it so much.
See the beauty of the blogging community? If we care to share enough, we can actually generate a whole lot of fantastic energy by inspiring one another to go beyond our daily boundaries. To try out things for ourselves we thought we never could or would do.

Wow..!! SS!!!
So stylo-malo..!! i love..!! i love..!!

Ooo i love your header art! I noticed it has been changing day to day. I know for sure you didn’t get any inspiration from my boring standard template blog!
You have 3 hours to spare?! You inspire envy in me!

Wow, thanks ladies for the encouraging remarks. My head is swelling.
Btw, I’m not IT savvy but I’ve fiddled with websites before so know a wee bit.
DR: that’s why it took me so long. I don’t even know how to use the pen tool now, only used the pencil and brush tools. Need to learn how to trace to make it easier.
Jan: The calendar thingie is up cos I use wordpress. I think there’s a way to put up for blogger but I’m not too sure how.
Zara’s Mama: I like the fonts too. But to make it mine? Erm, don’t know how. Anyway, I’m still far far far away from Ange. She’s a master. Me only a novice.
Fuzzoo: I’m free this period so have some time to spare in the afternoons when the boy is napping. Those illustrations on the headers you saw previously were not done by me. I merely put them together.

Hello Sesame!
First of all, thank you for checking out my blog so regularly, despite not updating much lately.
Next, thank you for your sweet comments. I am very happy to have inspired someone else. In fact that is one of my big mission in life. I am very glad to see mothers like yourself unleashing your creativity within. I think you did a great job with your header. I like the little details (the pot, the hearts). Keep it up.

Goodness, you did this with a mouse?? How??? Never mind, don’t even explain it to me. Even if I did know how to use a mouse to produce art, I have no inspiration to be artistic. All the same, good for you! Looking forward to more experimentation!
