“Why did you tear your books?”
*Cheeky grin*
“How can you tear your books?”
*Wider cheeky grin*
“Mummy is angry with you!”
“I love you, mummy!”
*Hugs me*

We ventured to the dark side this morning and spent some galactic moments touring The Art of Star Wars at the Singapore Science Centre today. Although Gavin is very familiar with Darth Vader, guess who was the most excited fan? Daddy!!! Who has been pestering us to visit this exhibition since it began last month! So I obliged by going around viewing the props, life-size models, weapons, spaceships and posters. Frankly, I didn’t even find the last movie inspiring, so you cannot expect me to ooze any ounce of excitement over this exhibition. Even Zu later admitted that it was boring!
But we had quite a lot of fun viewing the other exhibitions especially at the Discovery Zone. Gavin was also very intrigued with what he saw at the Aviation, Energy, Electron and the Ecogarden. In fact, the Water Works look really fun but unfortunately, we were not attirely prepared for it. Too bad!
Quite a well spent session overall! We had to give up our initial plans to watch the Wiggles at The Forum because Gavin was really tired by the time we finished lunch. Actually, both daddy and mummy were also worn out!
I have 2 weeks of holidays! Yeah! I don’t have to go to work! BUT. I still have to mark hundreds of papers! All by next week. *Sigh* I was hoping to spend more time with Gavin, look for his school, do X’mas shopping, cut my hair, write some introspective stuff on my blog and basically have some fun. But by the looks of it, I have to allocate some time each day to mark about 10 papers, each containing about 2500 - 3000 words! Otherwise I cannot meet the deadline. Deadline given only because my colleague is going on holiday.
Oh, whatever.
I am STILL determined to spend more time with Gavin. Look for his school. Blog. Shop. Do my hair. Have fun.
Just burn some midnight oil to mark those papers lah! Arrrrgh….
H A P P I N E S S!
Look what I’ve found at the local NTUC supermarket yesterday! Lotus Caramelised Biscuit! It was never available there and I used to have to buy it from Cold Storage or the Isetan supermarket. I wonder how long they’ve stocked this because it has really been awhile since I’ve check out the biscuit shelves at the NTUC.
I love the distinctive taste of this biscuit. It goes especially well with tea. I remember eating it when I was a child but have no idea what sort of biscuit it was then. Then some years ago I tasted it again when it was served as a snack at the Daisy’s Nail Cottage and that’s when I made it a point to jot down the name and where it was sold.
Little biscuit. Loads of happiness!
Here’s Gavin enjoying a picturesque moment with his grandpa at the jacuzzi yesterday. The boy certainly knows how to relax and savor the swirling hot tub. Look at him, seated like a little rascal with one leg up!
On another note, Michiko has responded to my tag by posting about her childhood food. Check it out here!
