casserole of my life

Hip Hong Kong cafe

concocted on Tue, 13 Dec 2005 @ 3:36 pm for Eats

We spotted a Hong Kong cafe near our place over the weekend and decided to give it a try this evening. We were really hoping for some Hong Kong style fried rice stick noodle which is the equivalent of our local hor fun. But no such luck. Instead, they serve fried mee sua and other types of noodles. So we ordered the mee sua and a plate of pork floss rice plus some dim sum. The food wasn’t too bad. In fact, the dim sum is really quite good. This is so great! We don’t have to travel all the way to town just for dim sum in future!

Actually, what I liked most is the hip retro ambience. Guess what they used to serve us our Macau style tea? The same 555 brand stainless steel mug which we used to brush our teeth, wash our hair and sometimes also drink our tea on our past trekking trips! This is so nostalgic! We’re definitely going to come back often!
