Gavin has developed an allergic cough and I asked Zu to bring him to the pediatrician this morning as I had to work. I also asked Zu to check with the pediatrician if Gavin shows any remote signs of autism. It is not that I am not confident of my son. I just want an expert opinion. A pediatrician who is definitely an expert when it comes to matters concerning children rather than some quacks, who pretend otherwise.
The pediatrician, who has been seeing Gavin since his birth was apparently surprised to hear this. He could hardly associate autism to Gavin as my boy has always been well-behaved throughout the various consultations and took to the doc’s instructions very well each time.
He also agreed that boys tend to be more active and it was a curious reflex that he hit the Malay teacher’s head. As to the reason why Gavin tends to be a little rough with the other kids, it could be a result of Zu’s rugged play with him!
Aha! It was really because of poor fathering all along! So Zu now realised that instead of wrestling with his son most of the time, he should start being more civil towards Gavin. Perhaps giving his son a friendly fatherly handshake each day would be a good start.
