casserole of my life

A quickie

concocted on Wed, 2 Nov 2005 @ 4:39 am for Entertainment

Since the arrival of Gavin, my life has always been quite a rush. Rush to bathe. Rush to eat. Rush to work. Rush to shop. It’s even a rush to drink water sometimes. Although it’s getting better now that he’s older but I still don’t have the luxury of time to relax too much. In fact, both of us hardly find time to do fun things together.

But these couple of weeks, we were able to steal more moments away from him. When I say moments, it’s like half an hour to an hour. So yesterday we had such a moment when he was having fun at the pool with the maid. And what did we do?

We indulged in a quickie!

Quickie bowling lah… With half an hour to spare, both of us quickly got to the alley and played a game. Just the two of us. I am a very lousy player and I scored only 38!!! I did not even pass! Most of the time, the ball ended up “washing the longkang”…down the drain. Zu was better with a higher score of 86.

I think to play better, I must learn to twist my body more because I’ve noticed that’s what the good bowlers do: bend their legs and contort their bodies in a certain way. But despite the bad score, bowling is actually quite a fun and cheap form of entertainment as it’s one of the few activities we can play for under $5 these days.
