casserole of my life

Free WordPress Blog

concocted on Wed, 30 Nov 2005 @ 8:26 am for Blogging

OMG!!! Free WordPress Blog is now available at www.wordpress.com! This is so exciting! Effectively, Blogsome is no longer the only free blog host service riding on the WordPress blogging platform!

Oh, wait a minute. It’s still in beta. Hmmm….still testing huh? Well, even though it’s still in beta, I really cannot see any problems since it’s THEIR platform. Wow kow, this is such a cuss cos it makes me want to move my site over there now. Yeah, even though this blog is already on WordPress platform, it’s just not enough.

I want a WordPress blog on a WordPress host!

Oh geez, how fickle and greedy can a woman get? Although I suspect it’s my OCD acting up again! Really, if I were to move, that would mean I need to start all over again. And it’s not like I have all the time in the world to do that. Okay, whatever. I’ve gotten myself a WordPress address at mycasserole.wordpress.com anyway.

Register first, think later.

No more yadda yadda

concocted on Tue, 29 Nov 2005 @ 11:46 am for Parenting

I went to work with a very bad sore throat today. As I couldn’t just sit around and look pretty, I continued to yadda yadda the whole afternoon with an extremely hoarse voice. Well, of course I earned a lot of sympathy for my *ahem* commitment, but in return, I’ve completely lost it now. And when I got home, my son had to ask me, “What happened?” only because this is his phrase of the month! But I really couldn’t answer him. I HAVE NO VOICE AND I CANNOT SCREAM!!!

I believe that the new Kit Kiat Chocolatier and it’s 0.12% alcohol is a major suspect for my lost of voice! Nevertheless, I couldn’t help but sneak another into my mouth just now. N’er mind. Can always take antibotics and logenzes later. Eat first, suffer later.

Enough already. This is actually meant to be a picture entry on some of Gavin’s playthings and mummy had to digress and talk about herself. Tsk tsk…as always.
Gavin's playthings
My boy is just so BOY! He loves automobiles and is now very into his new Thomas and Friend Big Loader. He will switch it on as soon as he is awake and keeps it on for hours. It’s a good thing we have rechargeable batteries at home. And of course, his favourite Incredibles. Zu found a shop at Far East Plaza which sells the Incredibles’ collectibles and he immediately bought most of the stuff to indulge his son. But I just don’t know why Gavin keeps calling Syndrome Superman? Maybe it’s the cape huh…

Kit Kat Chocolatier

Kit Kat Chocolatier

Kit Kat is my daily dose of energy junk food and I just realised that it has gone alcoholic up market under the new Kit Kat Chocolatier line. Called the Kit Kat Wine, it contains 0.12% alcohol, and is based on a powdered version of French red wine inside the cream filling. The alcohol content is actually very mild and I could hardly taste the wine. In fact, I thought it had a strawberry aftertaste. Something different and refreshing.

A piece of purple gold

concocted on Sun, 27 Nov 2005 @ 11:29 am for Femilicious

I have a weakness for bracelets. Everytime I walk past a jewellery shop, I can’t help checking out their latest chichi designed bracelets. Perhaps it has to do with my mum who insisted that I wear those auntie looking 916 gold bracelets she used to buy for me. Luckily for me, the weakness is in so far the object is concerned but not the choice of design.

These days, mixed gems are in vogue and I finally caught up with the fashion when I bought this dainty mixed gem and pearl bracelet from Tianpo two weeks ago. It was very pretty but I realised it was a very bad purchase decision because two of the gems dropped off less than one week into wear.

So today, I went down to the store and chose another design in exchange. It took me a good 45 minutes to find this purple gold & white gold bracelet. The sales lady told me that there is really no purple gold. It is just purple powder coating on white gold. Aha…But I know at least one other jewellery shop which is charging ridiculously exhorbitant prices for them.

Since it is powder coated, I have to be extra careful and to remove it before I bathe. Well, a bit troublesome really. But I supposed it’s a small trouble in exchange for a piece of purple gold. ;)

Asshat hubby

concocted on Sat, 26 Nov 2005 @ 8:06 am for Rants

We went X’mas tree shopping at Ikea this morning but ended up with no tree but a host of miscellaneous items instead. The pine trees there are really too real for our liking and some of them actually look quite odd.

Anyway, I bought this chic looking red metalic chest of drawers to stash away my heap of documents. Since it’s on wheels, I thought I can park it right under my table and move it around if I like. Usually, it is Zu’s job to fix up stuff like that. But today, he was lazy and refused to budge. Despite my protest, he just laid on the sofa and watch me figure out how to put the whole thing together. Not too difficult, but I was a bit frus from having to do it by myself. I got it fixed in about 20 minutes and by the time I was done, the man was asleep! KNN! My husband is sometimes quite an asshat!
